Flagship Project Manager

The company's Retail Stores Experiences and Marketing team is seeking an experienced Project Manager who will lead end to end in store marketing for flagship stores in New York and Sydney. This person will own store sets and oversee the planning, development, and execution of planogram, signage, digital video wall creative, large graphics, product readiness and some device experiences. You will be the point of contact for the visual merchandisers in flagship stores and collaborate with them to best translate core priorities and showcase our products that will create fans and position flagship stores as the destination to experience the best of the company.

As part of the Flagship Marketing Team, this role will require strong cross group collaboration and partnership with a variety of teams including Marketing, Merchandising, Learning and Operations as well as partner agencies across multiple regions in the United States and Sydney. The ideal candidate will be a fan of Microsoft products and have a passion for innovation. Superior communication skills and attention to detail required.

Primary Objectives

  • Develop and lead store set planning for flagship stores in New York and Sydney, covering planogram, signage, digital video wall creative, large graphics, product readiness and some experiences
  • Build relationships with cross-functional teams and agencies in Redmond, New York and Sydney to ensure alignment with both the overall strategy for chainwide company Stores as well as the localized strategy for each flagship
  • Serve as the point of contact for Flagship Visual Merchandisers and Flagship Marketing team members based in New York and Sydney for all scope related to store sets and in store execution
  • Brief in store sets and marketing support. Develop, maintain, and present the in-store execution plan of record for all store sets for both New York and Sydney


  • Be proficient in using JDA planogram tool and be the contact for Flagship Visual Merchandisers for any inquiries and support requests. Conduct bi-weekly planogram compares with Merchandising team to ensure alignment on product readiness for flagship stores
  • Collaborate with Redmond Visual Merchandising team for store set planning and develop brief and recommendations, and set decks for flagship visual merchandising
  • Partner with Fixture Manager to develop new flagship fixtures, review new fixture designs to ensure they work in the New York and Sydney stores and ensure each store receives the ideal quantity of fixtures 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams – Signage, Planogram, Visual Merchandising, Large Graphics, Experiences, Digital Creative – to ensure consistent alignment
  • Identify impacted signage, large graphics, digital creative, and products for each store set and manage the development of new or custom bill of materials to deliver on the flagship proposition
  • Future thinking to multi-task and manage current executions, while planning min. 3 months out for future campaigns 
  • Partner with Flagship Marketing team members to ensure in store execution plans align to overall flagship campaign plans and strategy 
  • Manage communications with New York and Sydney Visual Merchandisers, providing details on store sets, status of outstanding marketing requests and tracking numbers for marketing shipments


  • Minimum 2-3 years marketing and project management related experience, ideally in retail
  • Ability to develop new processes and to drive improvements in existing processes
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within fast paced, diverse cross functional teams
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and demonstrated decision making skills
  • Experience multi-tasking and experience with attention to detail (working on tedious projects and marketing plans)
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail required
  • Creative briefing and development experience
  • Drive to continually learn and improve
