Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery

Employee will assist a Fortune 500 Redmond based company in supporting their IT BCM Program. Employee will be under the direction and supervision of IT BCDR PMO personnel who will be responsible for communicating the tasks and requirements of the project to personnel supplied by employee and for reviewing their work. Employee will not be considered the preparer/developer of program artifacts and will not sign or use the employee name on any deliverable(s).  As determined by the company, the following activities represent areas of focus where employee may be required to assist: 

  • PM Activities
    • Facilitate with scorecard development, documentation of KPIs, managing reporting metrics and communications for creating awareness of business continuity program and procedures across IT
    • Work closely with IT BCM Lead and otherteams toassist in the adoption of updated methodology
    • Facilitate remediation planning discussions acrossIT and other teams
  • BCM Activities
    • Support IT BCM Lead in delivery of business continuity/disaster recovery program and lifecycle
    • Facilitate business continuity workshops to validate annual refresh of business continuity processes/dependencies acrossIT
    • Assist in streamlining internal processes based on the updated methodology
    • Assist in documenting findings and gaps
    • Document BCM data obtained during different phases of the BCM lifecycle in Archer/eGRC, spreadsheets and other tools as needed
    • Assist with Business Response strategy development including framework, roles and responsibilities, and response procedures per FY18 Enterprise requirements

The company will not provide employee with either High Business Impact (HBI) or Moderate Business Impact (MBI) that is considered to be “personal information” as defined in the Vendor Privacy Assurance (VPA) program during the course of the project under this schedule.

All Work shall be treated as company Confidential Information unless otherwise designated by the company.


Employee will work under the direction and supervision of company project sponsor.

In connection with this engagement, employee will not assist its personnel by:

  • Providing any management oversight of personnel in connection with the project
  • Participating in the determination of the scope and objectives of the project; or
  • Providing any manager or partner review of the deliverable(s)

During this engagement employee will work at company’s direction but will not be expected to:

  • Function in a management or employee role or make decisions that could have an effect on company’s business;
  • Prepare financial statements;
  • Perform management functions;
  • Approve journal entries;
  • Supervise other employees;
  • Make employment decisions such as hiring or terminating employees; and
  • Act in any capacity related to attestation services or certification of process and or technology for purposes of this engagement”
